Collier Hills is a neighborhood in south Buckhead straddling Collier Road, between Peachtree Street and Northside Drive. The community was named after Andrew Jackson Collier. whose mill sat on Tanyard Creek. The area was also the site of a Civil War battle, lending to the historical importance of the neighborhood. Collier Hills residents enjoy easy access to Tanyard Creek Park on the south and Memorial Park on the north. Amenities in the parks includes Bobby Jones Golf Course, Bitsy Grant Tennis Center, a playground and an "unofficial" but popular dog park area.
