Peachtree Park is a historic neighborhood of over 550 homes in central Buckhead, bounded by Piedmont Road, Peachtree Road, Highway 400 and the Southern Railway line. The northern section of the neighborhood is the oldest, with homes built in the early 1920's. The middle section includes Cape Cod, English Cottage and Colonial Revival styled homes built in the 1930's to early 1940's. Most of the homes in the southern portion of Peachtree Park were built in the mid to late 1940's. The entire neighborhood has been placed on the National Historic Register, thereby protecting Peachtree Park from commercial development. Though steeped in history, the neighborhood includes close proximity to modern conveniences, including shopping and dining along Peachtree Road, two MARTA rail station within walking distance, and a pedestrian bridge over Highway 400 to Lenox Square mall.
