| Tuxedo Park is a historic neighborhood in north central Buckhead, Atlanta. In the mid 1800′s, this area was primarily composed of forest and farms. Tuxedo Park progressed from this, to summer homes of affluent Atlantans, and eventually becoming a prestigious, full-time residential neighborhood. This transformation of residential development occurred over a period of more than 50 years. Many of the homes in the neighborhoods are positioned deep on large lots, so often times the homes cannot be seen from the street. This fact along with the unifying landscape combine to create a park-like atmosphere in the neighborhood. Tuxedo Park is located south of Chastain Park, west of Buckhead Forest, east of Kingswood and north of Argonne Forest and Peachtree Heights. |
